Your new companyWorking for a world-renowned leading research and development centre based in Cambridge.Your new roleThis role will be providing high level support to the professor/Director of the centre to facilitate the general running of the centre and the international programmes run and managed there. You will be providing high level PA/EA support managing autonomously the calendar, inbox (including actioning emails, drafting responses, noting deadlines, prioritising in order or importance) and travel (domestic and foreign including itinerary management) arrangements. You will minute meetings for various committees and boards, event organisation such as finding venues, booking venues, registration management, travel and accommodation management. Organising refreshments for meetings, supporting the facilities coordinator. In addition, some support with accounts/finance would also be involved including managing expense records, internal and external expense claims, Purchase order requisitions and involving support. We are also looking for someone who can take a lead on various projects and who is comfortable to take on additional responsibility when needed. This is an incredibly busy and varied role.What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role you should have previous experience in a PA/EA role ideally at Senior management/director level. Ideally you would have experience from within the education or higher education sector and have experience with or knowledge of donors, grants, shareholders, or investors as a large part of this role will be managing these areas for the professor/director. You should be highly organised, have meticulous attention to detail and be "one step ahead" at all times. You should be motivated to deliver exceptional results and take real pride in what you do. You should be great at developing relationships and working with people at all different levels. We are looking for someone who is highly IT literate and adapts to new and changing environments well.What you'll get in returnThis is a permanent position to support the professor/director on a full time basis. This role is full time Monday to Friday and primarily will be office based but with the possibility of working 2 days from home per week. Hours are flexible and free onsite parking is available.
