Marketing & Communications Executive Stoke On Trent

The Role

Dee Set Group currently has an opportunity for a Marketing & Communications Executive to join the team, supporting the Senior Marketing & Communications Manager and working in collaboration with the Digital Marketing Executive, to deliver the Group's marketing and communications strategy.

We are looking for people person that can network well across the group to celebrate our successes, deliver key business communications and optimise the effectiveness of how we reach and engage with our 3,500 strong team across the country.  

Whilst primarily this is an internal focussed role, you will be part of the wider marketing team helping to shout about our colleague's great news stories externally and driving the applicant/employee journey from the very first time they hear about us. Working as a team you will also support team members as required to help deliver projects that enable us to deliver towards the Group's strategy and goals.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Writing and proofreading communications to support business wide and departmental specific updates and announcements
  • Working closely with the People, Recruitment, Learning & Development & Performance teams to align and support in communications and marketing related activity
  • Networking across the wider Group to be seen as the central communications contact
  • Supporting and developing the Group's internal communications channels and methods - Blink, Internal newsletter, Business updates, Learning & Development platform, Job allocation portal etc
  • Producing creative content, including videos, case studies, blogs, eNewsletters and presentations
  • Monitoring trade media to create and deliver daily media alerts to colleagues
  • Compiling briefs and overseeing external marketing suppliers (PR) through to successful delivery, in-line with specification
  • Supporting the Group in the organisation and attendance at events such as webinars, exhibitions and conferences
  • Arranging effective distribution of marketing materials
  • Maintaining and updating customer databases
  • Producing reports on internal engagement and effectiveness of communication - analysing the data to propose suggestions for future improvement
  • Supporting the wider marketing team in key business projects as required

About you

Our ideal candidate would have a relevant CIM qualification or degree, although not essential, and possess the following skills:

  • Communications and/or marketing knowledge and experience
  • Strong communication and networking skills
  • An eye for detail
  • Ability to work in a team and independently
  • Experience at managing projects
  • A creative flair both visually and through writing - Adobe CC and video editing experience advantageous (but not essential)

£24-26k dependent on experience
