Hours of Work: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday working between the hours 06.00 - 20.00 based on a shift rota systemGENERAL DUTIES
  • To work with the Site Team to ensure full compliance whilst adhering to company policies and procedures at all times
  • Ensure a good working relationship with the Governors and the Senior Trust Leadership Team to respect Tudor Grange Academy's policies and procedures
  • Ensure at all times, that the site and grounds are maintained in a safe, clean and healthy state for students, staff, visitors and contractors within the Health & Safety in the Workplace guidelines
  • Ensure at all times that the security of the site is in line with the Safe Guarding guidelines
  • Ensure the Trust's measurable KPI's are completed by the Site team within the required timescales
  • Ensure that external paths, steps and entrances are clear of debris, snow, water, leaves or other hazards and that the site and grounds are cleaned and maintained to a high standard
  • Ensure all necessary paperwork is in place and completed correctly; Method statements, Risk Assessments, Permits and COSHH
  • Ensure Hazard Identifications and Near Misses are reported within the companies policies and procedures
  • Ensure that the CCTV system and requests are in line with the (GDPR) Data Protection Act
  • Assist when required the opening and close procedures for the premises and grounds to meet the routine and non-routine requirements of the building occupants
  • Assist where possible to attend the site in emergencies, taking appropriate action in the case of break-in, theft or fire, including arranging boarding up of broken windows and doors and the resetting of alarms
  • Carry out Porterage duties including room setups, relocations and deliveries along with any other porterage duties which may arise
  • Ensure a good working relationship with the Lettings Company
  • Carry out any reactive requests ensuring that they are captured within company technology platforms
  • Ensure all assigned PPM's and remedial works are completed each period.
  • Be aware of standards of contractors on site and inform the Senior Site Technician of any deviations from procedure or policy
  • Be aware of the Site team's expectations on Energy agreements and usage
  • When required carry out Mini Bus(s) pre/post journey checks
  • Be flexibility in occasional travel/overtime to cover the duties of the other Technicians due to sickness, holidays when required
Skills / Experience
  • Good communication skills both written and oral
  • Able to demonstrate good levels of customer communication
  • Shoes excellent timekeeping, team working skills and reliability are essential
  • Flexible approach to working hours which may include early mornings, late evenings and possibly weekends on call in case of Emergencies etc.
  • Must be self-motivated, pro-active and require minimal supervision.
  • Full, clean driving licence with your own transport as commuting between several sites may be required on occasion
  • Holidays based on 25 days plus statuary bank holidays will be restricted during term time due to location of the job role.
  • DBS check and will be carried out at appointment.
