Social, Emotional, Mental Health Support Assistant
Specialist Resource Base in Slough Secondary School
Mental Health. What does this look like for you? Uprooted? Challenged? Undone by years of isolation? Consider now how the next generation of young people might be struggling with these same issues. Underdeveloped social skills, lack of meaningful friendships, and in the worst cases, forced to remain within abusive socio economic conditions with no release. The pandemic has taken its toll on children across the country, and Slough is no different.
Do you have the empathy to make a difference in this graduate job by supporting these young people struggling with their mental health?
This Support Assistant role will expose you to classroom experience, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language, Art Therapy, Drama Therapy, and Clinical Psychologists. You will gain hands on experience with children who are crying out for support, with this often manifesting in tragic challenging behaviour. Could you be the one to make the difference and help these children recover?
