  • Job Title/Location: Trainee Treasury Analyst, Surrey/WFH
  • Salary: c.£25,000 + bonus + pension + free parking + study development
  • WFH: Average working week is 3-4 days office & 1-2 days WFH
  • Requirements: A Mathematics or Economics degree level education, analytical thinker, strong MS Excel skills and someone keen to take the initiative. Must be comfortable manipulating data, pivot tables, v-lookups etc
  • Role Snapshot: Assisting in preparing treasury and management information reports and also the preparation of periodic Bank of England returns, monthly Gap and other Treasury reporting

The Company: Our client is a highly professional financial services company who base their customer services model on just that, first rate customer service as opposed to the hard sell. The business is gradually expanding, now standing at around 175 people.

The Role: This opening is a new role that reports to the Director of Treasury. Key responsibilities include:

  • Support the preparation of regular and ad-hoc treasury and management information reports as requested by the Director of Treasury or the Finance Director
  • Assist with the preparation of periodic Bank of England returns, monthly Gap and other Treasury reporting
  • Provide support with the specification, documentation and testing of developments to Treasury reports from core IT systems including Treasury ALM system
  • Assist with the documentation of the Procedure Manuals
  • Support the maintenance of Policy Statements and Financial Risk Management and updates of the list of approved counter-parties
  • Liaise with external suppliers and maintain business relationships with third parties as required

Skills / Experience Required: For this Trainee Treasury Analyst role our client will consider those with a degree level education in Mathematics or Economics. You should also be an analytical thinker, possess strong MS Excel skills and be someone who is keen to take the initiative. You must be comfortable manipulating data, pivot tables, v-lookups etc. Able to assimilate and understand new information. Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to work as part of a small team as well as a willingness to study towards an accounting / treasury qualification are also requirements.
